Hi
My middle name is given only initial on not full on 1-485 ,131 receipt but 765 has full name
can any one advise me on how to resolve it.

I am on H1 now and my H1 B approval also had my middle name as initial.

Why are you worried? Dropping middle name in North American naming conventions is common, but that should not matter.

I got an RFE to send copies of my degrees on nov 15th. my attorney sent the copies and my status changed to Response to request for evidence received and processing is resumed. How many days will it take for I-140 approval after the response to RFE to received by USCIS ?

It should be few days not weeks. BTW did your attorney charge money for responding to RFE?

How long will it take to get the receipt number when we apply for H-1 extension? And how long will it take to get the decision?

I am assuming when I have the receipt number, I can be considered to be in legal status and keep working with my present employer though I-94 is expired.

Please help with your answers/suggestions.

Our company is brought by another company and countdown has started for our group. Looking at present market conditions I may have to use EAD. Will try to transfer H1 but just in case ...

I�ve a serious problem with my D2H. The photometer is not working at all!!!! The top display is showing always �HI� (or a very hi speed when I put the diaphragm at maximum) even with the optics cover closed. I�ve reset (with the green buttons) the camera but the problem persist. I�ve removed the battery > switched camera on > camera off again > insert the battery but no solution.
The ISO value is at 200.
I�ve switched on different positions the metering selector several times� nothing!
I�ve removed the memory card� nothing!
The rest is working perfectly, so I can take pictures with an external photometer (which I don�t have here now) or based on my light condition experience but this is not the point!!! Actually, I usually takes wilderness and travel photography and an external photometer makes me very difficult the practices. In addition, I�m living in Guinee (in the middle of nowhere) at this moment, them there is not Nikon service here of course!!!
Please, any suggestion? Advice?

Call nearest DOL office from a public phone and with a fake identity...........
tell them your friend is in trouble and explain the situation to them....they will guide you

I have talked to them and they need only the name of Company and the name of victim .....rest they will do themselves.

I understand you might not have all the documents/proofs............dont worry.........DOL knows it is a common phenomenon with such consulting company.

I think you need to have a consultation with an immigration lawyer, if you want a legal opinion from someone other than your current lawyer. There isn't really enough information in your question to give an answer. Without knowing why the L-1A petition was denied, it's very hard to suggest a strategy. If there was an RFE issued before the denial, you should be able to see what CIS was concerned about.

Are you eligible for E status? I don't know your nationality, so can't answer this myself.

A lot of people don't submit a formal AC21 letter when they change jobs, but if you want to do so, then it is better that you don't assume that they are going to look at your h1b app and figure you used AC21.... in most cases, uscis doesn't even look at AC21 before sending an RFE or NOID when I140 is revoked. Take what you can out of this...
